Okay, So apparently McDonalds in Steinbach does not give free refills, I thought it was McDonald policy, but I suppose I was wrong. I left my garbage on the table out of spite, not nice of me, I know, but really, it is like two cents cost for them.
I was similarly annoyed when I learned that. Same thing with the movies. When they offered free refills, it was almost worth it to buy a drink (because I can drink enough that I feel like I've gotten my $3 worth), but now they don't, and I once again return to sneaking in food and drink (which I don't believe to be unethical, but isn't the point).
They say it's a hygiene issue. I suppose the RISK of touching someone's straw (which may have been salivated upon) presents some great risk... except that I can't fathom what that risk might be. I think it's just the risk that people might be getting their money's worth.
Hey Justin, you sure you should even be gettin those refills...your startin to fill out a little bit. Maybe its a good thing there are no free refills. Their helpin you cut back already. lol, just jokes
The McDonalds in Ontario just take the cup, they don't take the lid and straw. I don't think that it is the mennos because they would have the drink for cheaper or give you more when needed. Stupid Steinbach with their McDonalds and EVERY grocery store closed on a Sunday, what city does that?
